The Parisians secured their 10th Ligue title in 12 years and defeated Liverpool, Aston Villa and Arsenal en route to the final. They face a determined Inter Milan side that narrowly missed out on winning both Serie A and the Coppa Italia this year, but dispatched Feyenoord, Bayern Munich and Barcelona to get to the UCL final. Inter are in the final for the seventh time in their illustrious history, having won three and lost three – last lifting the trophy under Jose Mourinho in 2010 and losing on their last appearance to Manchester City in Istanbul in 2023. Inter Milan’s comeback against Barcelona was remarkable and testament to their spirit, but PSG’s combination of intensity, technicality and youth – particularly in midfield and at full-back – could prove too much for I Nerrazzuri’s veterans to handle.

Luis Enrique has no fresh injury concerns to deal with heading into this final. He will have a fully-fit squad to choose from apart from Presnel Kimpembe, who has hardly played all season long and is struggling with a leg injury. The Ligue 1 champions will stick with the 4-3-3 formation, where Gianluigi Donnarumma will be in goal for them. Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes will be the full-backs, while Marquinhos will partner with Willian Pachoin the heart of the defence. In the centre of the park, Joao Neves will start alongside Vitinha and Fabian Ruiz. The trio will look to control the tempo of the game and ensure they have the majority of the ball.
